Xero for Farmers
In February this year the whole BRG team went to the annual Xero Conference (Xerocon) held in Auckland. There were over 900 Accountants, Bookkeepers and Add-On Partners attending this conference.
One of the announcements at Xerocon was “Xero for Farmers”. Xero have invested a lot of time and effort in getting their product ready for farmers. At Xerocon they announced a strategic partnership with PGG Wrightsons. While this is still being developed, Wrightsons are one of the first rural suppliers where direct feeds are likely to be available in Xero. Hopefully this will open the way for other rural suppliers such as Farmlands and Fonterra to supply these vital rural feeds. In the meantime we have another way of getting Farmlands and Fonterra data into Xero automatically – having this ability makes transferring farmers to Xero a much more viable proposition.
Xero has also announced various alliances one being Figured (www.figured.com)
